Atkinson Hyperlegible is a free font designed for low vision readers in mind. It’s named after the Braille Institute founder, J. Robert Atkinson. What makes this font special and unique from the conventional typography design is that it focuses on letterform distinction to increase character recognition, ultimately to improve the readability of the font. As shown in the preview images below, even if the font is blurred, it’s still legible due to the distinctive feature of each character.
Atkinson Hyperlegible is free for everyone to download and use. It comes with two weights that is Regular and Bold with Italic version for each weight. The font looks really good and will be a great font choice for inclusive design.
