Basement Grotesque

Basement Grotesque is a bold typeface set to capture your attention in every way possible. It’s the studio’s first foray into the world of type design. Certainly they started out in a big, loud way. According to them, the font design is inspired by the expressiveness of the early 19th-century grotesque typeface, and also the boldness and striking visuals of the contemporary revival of
brutalist aesthetics.

You can really feel the heavyweight-ness of this bold typeface, making this font a real contender for large display typography for posters and pull quotes in sports magazine.
